A large pod of dolphins is delighting Wellingtonians this afternoon. 

The dolphins have been seen near Te Papa.

Footage shows paddle boarders and a kayaker surrounded by the marine mammals as they play.

A marine expert told 1 NEWS they were common dolphins.
