The Black Caps are under the pump ahead of their fourth ODI against India at Seddon Park in Hamilton tomorrow, after losing the first three matches of the series.

New Zealand allrounder Mitch Santner says his team is feeling the hurt and are eager to turn things around.

"Obviously it is a little bit disappointing to lose three games in a row but I guess we are playing a really good side," said Santer.

"India have shown in all conditions they are a very good side, I think we are not too far off.

"We've been outplayed in three games, but you know there is signs that we are getting better."

India cruised to a seven wicket win on Monday in their third ODI after the Black Caps, batting first, could only muster 243-runs off 49 overs.

"So hopefully we can, I guess put a complete performance in this game [fourth ODI] and win one and then get a bit of momentum into Wellington.

"I guess that is our next ask is to try win our next two games in the series."

India announced last week that skipper Virat Kohli will not take part in the remaining two ODIs and will not play in the Twenty20 series.

The visitors said in a statement Kohli needs to rest after a busy schedule of cricket.
