India crush White Ferns at Bay Oval, claim ODI series win

The White Ferns have been thumped by India in their second ODI match, going down by eight wickets at Bay Oval in Tauranga tonight.

India's Ekta Bisht starred for the visitors with the ball, hauling in figures of 2-14 from eight overs, with her teammate Poonam Yadav securing figures of 2-38 with the ball.

Experienced seam bowler Jhulan Goswami also chimed in with figures of 3-23 for India.

White Ferns skipper Amy Satterthwaite was the top scorer for New Zealand, hitting 71-runs as New Zealand limped to a score of 161 all out from 44.2 overs.

The White Ferns secured two early wickets in their innings with the ball to give them a sniff in the match, but Smriti Mandhana dashed New Zealand's hopes with an unbeaten 90-runs with the bat.

With Mithali Raj adding 63-runs not out as the visitors reached they target with 14 overs left in the match.
