Witnesses sought to Canterbury crash in which truck fatally struck pedestrian

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen a pedestrian fatally hit by a truck in Canterbury today.

The accident happened just south of Rangitata, near Timaru, shortly before 9:50am.

Police have spoken to other witnesses but are interested in hearing about any other sightings of the crash on State Highway One.
