Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Bay of Plenty

One person has died after they were hit by a car in the Bay of Plenty last night.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Te Ngae Rd, in Rotorua, at around 11.30pm.

The pedestrian died at the scene.
