No criminal charges will be laid following a police investigation into a tragic bus crash in Tongariro National Park which killed an 11-year-old girl and injured several others in late July.
Hannah Francis died after the vehicle she was in, along with 31 others, rolled halfway up Ohakune Mountain Road, which runs to Turoa skifield, on July 28.
Ruapehu Alpine Lifts CEO Ross Copland told 1 NEWS at the time that the bus was nine kilometres down Mountain Road when it hit a bank on the left side and came to rest on its right side.
Several people were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
No criminal charges will be laid following the conclusion of the investigation, Detective Inspector Ross McKay, Central District CIB's crime manager, said in a statement.
Police will continue to provide support for other agencies in their ongoing investigations.
The matter will now be prepared for a coronial hearing.
