All Blacks flanker Vaea Fifita is relishing his shot at another Test start, saying his role in the New Zealand camp has somewhat changed with the inclusion of a number of new players in the camp.
Fifita, 26, is named to start at blindside flanker against Japan this Saturday in Tokyo and is excited to be back to play at international test level.
"It is awesome to be back in the environment," said Fifita.
"To come in and learn from the best, plus it is my first time here (Japan)."
The Tongan born enforcer says he has been working on coming out of his shell and being a leader for the eight debutants set to play against Japan this weekend.
"I've been learning to just have a voice, everyone knows that I am a quiet guy.
"I have to share what I know since I have been in this team (before), because everyone in this team is trying to help each other get better.
"Steve (Hansen) always says in our meetings there’s no dumb questions, so it's easier for me to learn."
The seven Test All Black is named to start alongside Auckland openside Dalton Papali'i and Highlanders' No.8 Luke Whitelock in the loose forward department, with Whitelock named as captain.
