The Chiefs have today announced their squad for the 2019 Super Rugby season with four new players set to make their Super Rugby debut next year.
All Blacks Sevens star Etene Nanai-Seturo, Taranaki prop Reuben O'Neill, New Zealand under-20s lock Laghlan McWhannell and Tongan-born Japan international winger Ataata Moeakiola have signed on with the Chiefs.
Nanai-Seturo, 19, said he is excited to bring his sevens skills to the Chiefs team.
"It's an honour and a privilege to be part of the team," said Nanai-Seturo.
"I'm pretty stoked, but a bit nervous at the same time.
"I'm really looking forward to getting into the team environment, training hard, learning from the coaches and players, and being part of the Chiefs brotherhood."
Chiefs coach Colin Cooper said his side has a good mixture of experience and raw new talent for 2019.
"We've retained a lot of players from this year, including a number of our core leadership group, we've brought in a group of exciting and talented new players," said Cooper.
Another two players who have Super Rugby experience are also included in the Chiefs squad, former Melbourne Rebels utility back Jack Debreczeni and former Auckland Blues midfielder Tumua Manu.
The Chiefs start their 2019 Super Rugby season with a New Zealand derby match against the Highlanders at FMG Stadium in Hamilton on February 15.
