Watch: 'My whole life ended' - emotional Michael Buble opens up about five-year-old son's battle with cancer

October 29, 2018

Canadian singer Michael Buble left both viewers and his host overwhelmed with emotions after he opened up about what he and his family have been through with their son Noah fighting liver cancer.

The 43-year-old appeared on The Late, Late Show with James Corden in the light-hearted Carpool Karaoke segment last week but things took a more serious turn when Corden asked him about his five-year-old son.

Buble confessed when Noah was diagnosed, his world completely changed.

"It is so hard to have to acknowledge it. Obviously we got his diagnosis and that was it, my whole life ended," he said.

"At first it was just, it is too hard to talk about. They said it wasn't great so we took it day by day - we had the best doctors."

But Buble admitted he and his wife shared the burden.

"I wasn't OK. When this all started I became the strength to somehow pull us and lift us. When they got it out and chemo was done, I just fell. My wife picks me up."

The emotional honesty in Buble's delivery appeared to affect Corden, a father of three, deeply with the segment ending with a long hug.

The pair also promoted the charity Stand Up to Cancer during the drive.

Noah is currently in remission following his battle but the it has opened Buble's eyes and left him questioning his future in showbusiness.

But despite a report from the Daily Mail saying he was retiring, the Canadian said he was simply misquoted.

"I'll keep going until the news of my death comes out, which will probably be fake too," he told Associated Press.
