Scribe has written an emotional letter to his social media followers after being released from prison yesterday.
The Kiwi rapper, whose real name is Malo Ioane Luafutu, reflected on his past actions with regret but showed optimism about his future.
"Today I'm released from prison. In no way am I proud of that but I'll own it all day; every day," he wrote.
"I'm merely a survivor of a broken community, a fallen city and an ever dysfunctional planet."
Scribe has had multiple warrants issued for his arrest since failing to turn up to court in August last year - an action he repeated last September before being found guilty of possessing methamphetamine in March this year.

His drug charges were then delayed in July after another charge of a 'domestic nature' surfaced.
Luafutu then went before the courts again in August this year after admitting he breached his bail conditions when he travelled to Motueka to perform at a concert.
"I've made a lot of mistakes in my life... many. But none have ever been as big as my comebacks," he wrote in the post to acknowledge the troubles he's recently faced.
"I'm not gonna say I have all the answers now because I don't and I won't say I'm a changed man, because talk is cheap. Rather, I'll show you."
The rapper hinted he had "some amazing news to announce" but said it will have to wait for a later date.
"Tonight I am enjoying time with those I love most and eating some good as food."
Scribe will reappear in court on December 13, charged with breaching a protection order and methamphetamine possession.
