The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been given a rousing welcome onto Government House after touching down in Wellington this afternoon.
The royals were greeted with a hongi from the Governor-General's Kuia and Kaumātua, before a pōwhiri and a passionate haka, which was performed by students from Hato Paora College in Feilding.
The welcome also included a 21-gun salute, before the Duke inspected the Guard of Honour.
The couple will be next lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.

The pair will then visit the newly-unveiled UK War Memorial at the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park for a public appearance as part of the tour.
