All Blacks first-five Beauden Barrett has praised his combination with Damian McKenzie, following their role in last night's 37-20 win over Australia in Yokohama.
With Barrett at first-five, McKenzie found himself playing at fullback in last night's win, with coach Steve Hansen saying that the side wanted two playmakers on the field at a time.
The move appeared to work, with both McKenzie and Barrett taking turns in steering the All Blacks' attacking efforts around the park.
Speaking to media, Barrett spoke of McKenzie's influence on his overall game.
"His chat was really good," said Barrett after the match.
"I always felt that there were more options. As a kicking option I felt a lot easier in our own half knowing there was a genuine kicking option out there.
"It's something we have to grow amongst all our backs, is all being an option to kick the ball and being less predictable."
