Kiwis coach Michael Maguire welcomed the return of duo Jesse Bromwich and Kevin Proctor to his squad, both included for the first time since last year's Anzac Test cocaine scandal.
The pair were allegedly caught trying to purchase cocaine outside a Canberra nightclub, following the 30-12 loss to Australia in last year's Anzac Test.
At the time coach David Kidwell subsequently decided that neither of the pair would be selected for last year's Rugby League World Cup, having failed to uphold the values of the team.
The Kiwis would go on to lose in the quarter-finals to Fiji.
Speaking at his squad naming in Auckland this afternoon though, Maguire spoke about the return of the pair, and what expectations will be placed on their shoulders.
"They've just got to do their job, and do that for the players," Maguire said.
"Enough has been said about those two, it's time now to give those boys some space to get that jersey back on.
"It's about looking forward, and that's what they're looking forward to.
"I'm sure they're going to come in very keen and ready to go."
The Kiwis face the Kangaroos at Mt Smart Stadium on October 13.
