One person dead after Taranaki crash involving truck and car

September 28, 2018

One person is dead after an accident involving a car and a truck in South Taranaki this afternoon.

Police say the incident took place between Joll Road and Petch Road, Hurleyville and happened at about 3.05pm.

They say in a statement: "Initial reports indicate that one person has died".

Ambulance, police and the fire service all attended the scene.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible as Police and emergency services work at the scene.
