Returning All Blacks midfielder Sonny Bill Williams admits he has some nerves ahead of his first game in three months on Sunday, but he plans to use them to his advantage.
The 33-year-old hasn't played rugby since the third Test against France in Dunedin on June 23 after initially injuring his knee before a subsequent shoulder issue kept him sidelined longer.
He was then listed to return against the Springboks in Wellington but missed the Test due to an illness he picked up early in the week.
But with all the issues finally resolved, Williams is listed to start alongside Ryan Crotty against the Pumas on Sunday.
"You feel nerves, it's a little bit daunting going back out there in the spotlight again," he said.
"But I try to thrive in that and try walk towards that, get excited about it and just understand the beast that we're coming up against."
The centre said he and the side know Argentina are hungry for their first win against the All Blacks when they play in Buenos Aires in front of a sold out crowd.
"They've come off a couple of really big wins, a great tour and they're back home and ready to go.
"But I'm excited myself and looking forward to that challenge."
