Harrowing footage shows a woman leading police on a high-speed chase with a baby in the car, before she crashes and tries to carjack another vehicle.
ABC news says the woman was identified by local police as 29-year-old Catilyn Rodriguez.
She is seen pulling the baby out of the crashed SUV before running across a busy street.
Rodriguez allegedly tried to carjack another vehicle by jumping into the passenger’s seat while still carrying the infant.
The driver of the vehicle ran out and grabbed a child from the backseat before the police pulled Rodriguez out of the car and handcuffed her in the middle of the road, while the baby was safely taken away.
She has been charged with child endangerment, evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
