Student rushed to hospital after suffering injuries at Whangārei school

A person has suffered serious injuries at a school in Whangārei today.

The incident occurred at Excellere College in Kamo.

The person has been transported to Northland Base Hospital in a serious condition, St John told 1 NEWS.

School Principal Graeme Whitehead has since told 1 NEWS that it was a student involved in a very minor accident and is fine.
