A body has been found following an explosion at a property in West Auckland.
An eyewitness told 1 NEWS they heard explosions and saw smoke coming from a property near the Universal Drive and Don Buck Road intersection in Henderson.
A St John Spokesperson says they are in attendance and have sent one ambulance to the scene.
Police told 1 NEWS they are asking people to avoid the scene, and traffic diversions are likely.
An eye witness says they can see around eight police cars, four fire engines and a helicopter at the scene.
