The woman who was fatally shot at a Waikato property yesterday evening has been named by police.
Police say Leigh Kauhoe Wallace was the 50-year-old woman that was killed at a house on Otewa Road, in Otorohanga, just before 8pm last night.
A 57-year-old man was also transported to hospital in a critical condition but is now stable, police said today.
Inquiries are continuing, but police have recovered a firearm.
No one else is being sought following the incident, according to authorities.
