Firefighters battle large hay-barn fire near Christchurch

Firefighters are battling a large hay barn fire near Christchurch this evening.

The fire broke out at a property in Tuahiwi, north of Christchurch, around 7pm.

Two fire appliances and two tankers are at the scene. 

No one has been injured and no properties are at risk following the incident.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
