Pedestrian in serious condition after being hit by van in Palmerston North

A pedestrian is in a serious condition after being struck by a van in Palmerston North this morning.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck on College Street at approximately 8.25am.

The road is currently closed as police investigate the incident.

It is expected to re-open shortly.
