Watch: Netflix releases trailer for season two of controversial series, 13 Reasons Why

May 9, 2018

Netflix has released the trailer for season two of the highly controversial series, 13 Reasons Why.

The show's first season focused on fictional teenager Clay Jensen, and his friend Hannah Baker, who recorded a series of tapes detailing 13 reasons why she was about to take her own life after a series of incidents at school.

The show is being watched by millions around the world, but not everyone is happy with the ideas discussed. (Source: Other)

The new trailer for season two sees Jensen find a photograph with "Hannah wasn't the only one” written on the back, hinting at possible new storylines for season two.

Season one courted controversy last year, with critics saying it glorified suicide.

In the months after its release in March, New Zealand's censor's office created a new classification for the series after its content, including a graphic rape, raised concerns.

It was given an RP18 classification, meaning the show should only be watch by people younger than 18 if a parent or guardian is present.

The show is based on Jay Asher's young adult best-seller.
