Two children have escaped injury after a garbage track crashed into the side of a house, after also hitting a car, caravan and boat in Sydney's inner west.
The truck was on Gladstone Street, Lilyfield, last night, when the driver got out to help with emptying bins.
It then began to roll down the street, hitting a number of vehicles before smashing into the house on Brennan Street.
Two children - a 10-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl - inside at the time were uninjured.
Inner West Council says it's "extremely thankful" no one was hurt and is helping police with inquiries.
It has also launched an internal investigation into the incident.
"A structural engineer and environmental health officers are inspecting the site to ensure it is safe from possible asbestos and the truck is safely removed from the scene," General Manager Rik Hart said in a statement on Thursday.
"Council will work with the home owner to rectify any damage and ensure that the residents have accommodation while the work takes place."
