A terminally ill young girl from Tasmania, Australia wants to meet US comedian and talk show superstar Ellen as one of her dying wishes.
Briarna Peters, 12, has endured over 30 rounds of chemotherapy and 46 rounds of radiation in her battle with cancer, which doctors tragically say is a lost cause after the discovery of 10 new tumours in her lungs.
Despite all this, the Tasmanian girl is staying upbeat and wants to enjoy her final moments with a family trip to Los Angeles to visit Disneyland and hopefully meet her idol Ellen.
The talk show host kept her laughing throw harrowing treatments and meeting the celebrity would mean the world to Briarna.
"It would be amazing to see Ellen," Briarna told Nine News . "I love Ellen and I just love her personality.
"She is bubbly and she is always kind and I just love to watch her."
The family has saved $15,000 for the trip and have been given the all clear by doctors to undertake it.
"We just have to make the best of each day and every situation and we have to do what makes us happy," Briarna's mother, Danielle said.
"Sitting at home and feeling sorry for ourselves doesn’t make us happy and we want to make sure we are enjoying the best quality of life."
Briarna has made a video with her plea to meet the star, now the ball is firmly in Ellen's court to make it happen.
