Players in the Warriors have given their two cents on the club's new ownership, although what they're most pleased about is having the distraction of the team's sale well and truly out of the way.
The Auckland-based NRL club confirmed today that Eric Watson had sold the club to the Carlaw Park Heritage Trust and Autex Industries with Auckland Rugby League chairman Cameron McGregor and Autex CEO Mark Robinson taking over effective immediately.

Star halfback Shaun Johnson admitted he was just happy the "noise" was gone.
"We've been filled in which is good because it shows they're thinking about the playing group," he said.
"The only thing we can control is what we do out here and how we go on the weekends - they told us that they're pretty happy with how we're going so that's all we have to worry about!"

Club stalwart Simon Mannering agreed.
"I'm sure they want to know what we've done so far and what's are plan going forward."
Both the team and their new owners are now turning their interests to Saturday night's game against the fifth-placed West Tigers at Mt Smart Stadium at 7:30pm NZT.
