Black Caps bowler Tim Southee was named the IPL man-of-the-match after an incredible death bowling display which saw the Kiwi inspire the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a 14 run victory over the Mumbai Indians this morning.
Southee finished with figures of 2-25 in an IPL epic that went right down to the wire.
The Royal Challengers limped to a 168 run total and were missing star batsman AB de Villiers who sat out the match due to a viral infection.
Brendon McCullum scored 37 runs off 25 balls for Bangalore with skipper Virat Kohli scoring 32 off 26 balls.
Black Caps all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme scored 23 off 10 balls for the Royal Challengers and was excellent in the field.
Kohli chimed in in the final over the match, coming up with a stunning catch off Southee to dismiss Mumbai's Hardik Pandya.
