Three critically injured in head-on crash

A St John report says three people are in a critical condition after two vehicles collided in a head-on crash in Kopu, Thames on Tuesday.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson confirmed the accident happened at around 8pm.

One occupant had to be extracted from the vehicle by emergency services.

Two fire appliances and four St John ambulances were called to the scene of the crash.
