The All Blacks sevens have lost a heartbreaker to Fiji in the quarter-finals of the Singapore Sevens after veteran Kurt Baker failed to find touch with a penalty in the dying stages.
New Zealand was leading 19-17 when they were awarded a penalty with just over a minute to go.
Unfortunately, Baker couldn’t find touch, giving Fiji a final chance to snatch victory.
Amenoni Nasilasila was the one to take the opportunity, slicing through a gap and outpacing the NZ defenders to score the match-winner.
