“It was good to get some cobwebs out and a bit of match fitness,” Gavet said.

Gavet was looking forward to returning to the top grade side, who slumped to a big loss to the Melbourne Storm on Anzac Day.

“I’m pretty sure they’ll be keen to bounce back and right some wrongs and if I can add to that with my own flavour then I’ll be happy to.”

The former Tiger had his eye on returning against his old team, who the Warriors play next Saturday at Mt Smart.

“After the loss on Wednesday, we’re still buzzing and we’re still believing in where we are going and our process so having a clash against those Tiger boys, especially some of them who we’ve played with over the years, it’ll be an exciting match.”

“For me personally it’ll be good because I’ve played for the Tigers before, so I’ll see a lot of familiar faces, can’t wait.”
