A member of the New Zealand Women's Sevens team has got the mumps.

Ruby Tui, 26, contracted the mumps while the team was at their pre-games camp on the Sunshine Coast in Australia.

A New Zealand team doctor has travelled to be with her.

The remainder of the team are now in isolation as more tests are carried out.

The team had been scheduled to come into the village tomorrow (4th April) but will instead remain in camp until Sunday (8th April).
