Chiefs star Damian McKenzie is relishing his opportunity at first-five during this current Super Rugby season, having shifted from fullback.
With the departure of Aaron Cruden to French club Montpellier, McKenzie has found himself as the Chiefs' preferred option in the number 10 jersey under new coach Colin Cooper.
Still despite first-five being his preferred position, McKenzie is coming to grips with regular game time at the helm of the Chiefs, after numerous successes in the number 15 jersey.

"I'm starting to get more comfortable each week in the new role at 10 and I'm really enjoying it," McKenzie told Fairfax.
"I'm always learning each week and it's good being able to do that, learning from your mistakes, and there are things to work on.
"It's a different role and you've got to be more calm compared to 15 when you can sort of do your own thing."
McKenzie shone at first-five during the Chiefs' 27-22 win over the Highlanders last week, and will most likely find himself in the number 10 jersey when his side meet the Blues on Saturday.
