Sir Bob Jones has reportedly been involved in an argument in a Wellington restaurant that resulted in a women allegedly attempting to punch the businessman.
Sir Bob told the Sunday Star Times a woman allegedly "threw a punch" at him.
He claimed it came after he had been dining in a Wellington restaurant with a group that included his family.
"A woman started screaming on and on. I asked them to tone it down," Sir Bob told Sunday Star Times.
Sir Bob said a woman in the group then allegedly began to attack him but due to intoxication the alleged punch attempt didn't make contact.
