Young child victim in fatal Desert Rd crash

A young child was the victim in a serious crash yesterday involving two cars and two truck-trailers on the Desert Rd. 

Three people in a critical condition were taken to Waikato Hospital, say police, and another was taken to Whanganui Hospital in a moderate condition. 

The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team are currently investigating.
