Anthony Joshua isn't buying into the hype or concerns around Joseph Parker's recent elbow surgery, saying he expects the Kiwi fighter's best performance despite the operation.
Parker had surgeries on both his elbows in November last year to remove bone chips and growth from the area which was causing him pain.
"I'm gonna punch his elbows," Joshua joked.
"He's here, he's good - he's fighting so that's the main thing."
Joshua told 1 NEWS this morning he doesn't think his preparations were wasted on old footage where Parker was reportedly plagued by elbow issues.
"If you do your research, you will hear fighters like Parker say they feel great or 100 per cent for a fight.
"You've got to mute what people are saying and focus on what they do. If he feels great, then there's only a little bit more that he's going to be able to do."
Joshua and Parker face off in Cardiff on Apirl 1 NZT in their unification bout.
