I NEWS Sport reporter Guy Heveldt says what we know about the Australian cricket ball tampering saga is just the "tip of the iceberg".
Today Cricket CEO James Sutherland announced Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft are being sent home from the South African tour in disgrace for their roles in the cheating scandal.
Sutherland says a CA investigation found no other player nor support staff, including coach Darren Lehmann, knew of the ball-tampering plan during the third Test on the weekend.
"I think the Australian media will be digging for anything else they can find," Heveldt told TVNZ1's Breakfast today.
Speaking about today's press conference Heveldt says: "I think this is the tip of the iceberg in terms of what may come out about this story".
"I think the sanctions for these three players will be significant".
