Some Londoners have taken a novel, but sensible approach to commute around the city in the midst of a snow storm - skis.

As 1 NEWS Europe Correspondent Joy Reid reported live on TVNZ1's Breakfast today, during London's commute home, one such skier whizzed behind her.

Deadly snow continues to batter UK and Europe causing flight cancellations at London's Heathrow Airport.
