A king tide in Auckland this morning could cause problems for motorists travelling on Tamaki Drive.

Auckland Transport is urging drivers to be aware that a king tide is expected at 8:30am and to expect delays or consider using an alternative route.

The two lanes in each direction remain open on Tamaki Drive at the moment but they believe there’s still possibility of lane closures.
