A body has been found on Papamoa Beach, in Tauranga, today.

The body of a 57-year-old man was found near Hartford Avenue at Harrisons Cut and reported to police shortly after 7.30am.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
