'Merry, merry Christmas' – Jacinda Ardern wishes Kiwis a restful holiday period

December 20, 2017

The Prime Minister gave New Zealand and the House a special Christmas message during her adjournment speech to Parliament today.

Jacinda Ardern wished her side of the house a particularly restful break because: "We've got a lot of work to do."

She said to the people of New Zealand "Merry, merry Christmas.

"I can assure you, there's a lot more to come in the New Year."

Ms Ardern is spending her break with partner Clarke Gayford's family, before flying to Australia.
