A Chinese snooker player has played one of the strangest shots in the sport's history while the pressure was on during the final of this year's Scottish Open.
Cao Yupeng was in an intense match with Australian Neil Robertson on Monday when he returned to the table with the white ball near a cluster of reds.
Rather than go for a risky shot, Cao opted to instead flip it back onto his opponent by simply brushing the white ball ever so lightly that it rolled no more than an inch forward to touch a nearby red ball.
Yupeng held the cue by its tip instead of the handle to produce the shot, laying the stick across the table as he did so.
Snooker legend Dennis Taylor admitted in all his years playing and watching the sport, he'd never seen such an audacious shot.
The trick wasn't enough for Cao though as he failed to close out an 8-4 lead in the final to lose 9-8.
