Motorcyclist dies after crashing into fence in West Coast

A man has died after crashing his motorcycle into a fence in Westport, on the West Coast.

The incident occurred on Caledonian Rd at 7.45pm this evening.

The man died at the scene of the crash.

Police said in a statement the road will be closed for some time while the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
