Man dies after pulled from water at Sulphur Point, Tauranga

A man has died after he was pulled from the water at Sulphur Point, Tauranga.

The man was found unresponsive when he was pulled from the water by Coastguard at 3.20pm this afternoon.

The man died while he was being transported to shore.

He had reportedly been out boating. 

Police are now in the process of notifying the man's family.
