Watch: 'Still got it!' King Carlos nails incredible banana kick trick shot through goal posts

November 2, 2017

Carlos Spencer has shown he still possesses the magic touch which earned the nickname King Carlos, while playing for the Blues and All Blacks over the past two decades.

Spencer, 42, announced this morning that he'll return to don the Blues jersey again at next year's Brisbane Global Tens tournament as a wildcard player.

To mark the occasion, the Blues veteran released a video today, pulling off a banana kick trick-shot, with the ball sliding through rugby goal posts.

"Aw look at that, still got it," said Spencer.

Spencer accumulated 608 points in 97 appearances over nine highlight-filled Super Rugby seasons with the Blues from 1996-2005 before moving overseas to play for the Northampton Saints.

Next year will be his first time playing for the Blues since his 2005 departure.

Spencer has coached at the Sharks, Lions and Kings in South Africa in recent years.
