New Highlanders coach Aaron Mauger was quick to jump on 1 NEWS' cameraman and give him tips about media etiquette after his mobile phone went off during a media session today in Dunedin.
Mauger was halfway through answering a question when he was interrupted by a phone call.
The 45-Test former All Blacks midfielder gave the 1 NEWS cameraman a lesson on how to conduct a media interview.
"That's just 101 aye? Having your phone ring," said Mauger.
"That's just media 101 isn't it? How long have you been doing this job for big fella?"
Mauger and Highlanders assistant coach Mark Hammett saw the funny side of the mobile phone going off and asked if it was All Blacks and Highlanders fullback Ben Smith calling.
"Was that Ben Smith giving you a call?"
