Wellington police have given Halloween a Kiwi twist, performing a 'zombie cops' dance to the classic song Poi E by Patea Maori Club.
A group of cops, some wearing zombie masks, took over a car park to perform the moves from Michael Jackson's Thriller to Poi E.
A female officer performs with poi during the dance, which the police videoed and posted on their Facebook page today.
"Hey Wellington, wanna see our Michael Jackson dance moves? #zombiecops," the post is headed.
The police tagged Taika Waititi in the post, honouring the performance of Thriller to the same song in the director's movie Boy.
The police also linked to "some tips to keep your little zombies safe this Halloween".
The police zombie dance video has gone viral, amassing 33,000 views and being shared more than 600 times within a few hours of being posted.
