Barbarians coach Robbie Deans believes dropped All Blacks winger Julian Savea isn't done with the black jersey yet.
Deans was asked by media this morning how a player like Savea, who has scored 46 tries in 54 Tests, can't manage to stay in the All Blacks.
"In New Zealand, there's a queue," he said.
"There's always people bubbling up from underneath and if you park up you get passed - I'm not suggesting Julian parked up but you've just got to keep evolving as a player and I think that's the message the All Blacks have given."
Savea was not selected for this year's end of year tour, leaving him open to selection by Deans and the Barbarians.
The former Wallabies and Crusaders coach said Savea has listened to that message and could be in line to use this weekend's match between the All Blacks and Barbarians at Twickenham.
"We're expecting to see a pretty good performance out of Julian on the weekend - he's certainly excited for it," Deans said.
"And the great thing is he's still up for it. A lesser man would've said it's all too hard but he's still hungry, he still wants to be involved, still wants to get back and that's great from the All Blacks perspective."
The Barbarians play the All Blacks at 2:30am NZT this Sunday.
