The Kiwis are ramping up their preparation to face Scotland in the Rugby League World Cup in Christchurch this weekend, with new halves pairing Shaun Johnson and Te Maire Martin looking to gel ahead of their first appearance as a duo.

Martin will partner Johnson in the Kiwis for his first Test start, having made one appearance off the bench for New Zealand in an 18-all draw - coincidentally against Scotland - last year.
