A new social media platform has been launched that focuses on the people of Christchurch who have taken setbacks in their stride.

Braveheart Chch co-founders Simon Challis and Andrew Murray are hoping to change perspectives of post-quake Christchurch by featuring mini documentaries on their Facebook page of inspiring individuals.

They say their inspiration came from negative comments about the rebuild taking too long and the drop in tourist numbers.

The first documentary follows Ben Atkinson the founder of Fill their Lunchbox .

He's fed over 35,000 children in need in Christchurch since starting out.

Ben also lost his best friend in the earthquake which he touches on in the feature documentary.

The organisation will create more documentaries as nominations roll in, and hope that it will inspire people to want to 'live, work and play' in the Garden City.
