This summer Kiwis will be able to sing along to Byran Adams' beloved Summer of '69 in the presence of the man himself, with Adams announcing four North Island shows as part of his Get Up world tour.
Adams was last in the country in 2013 when he played two sold out shows in Auckland and Wellington, and it seems demand for the US rock-pop singer has only grown since.
Welcoming in 2018, Adams will this time perform at Auckland's Matakana Country Park on January 2, New Plymouth's TSB Bowl of Brooklands on January 4, Mount Manganui's ASB Baypark Stadium on Janurary 5, and will be rounding out the New Zealand tour at Black Barn Vineyard in Hawkes Bay on January 6.
Dave Dobbyn and the Jordan Luck Band will be Adams' support acts.
A Grammy Award winner, Adams is one of the most successful recording artists of all time with more than 65 million records sold worldwide.
He rose to fame in North America with his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife and his following 1984 album Reckless contained two of his best known songs Run to You and Summer of '69.
Pre-sale tickets are available on October 4, with general release tickets on sale the next day.
