Auckland dairy employee assaulted during aggravated robbery

October 1, 2017

A dairy employee has been assaulted and left with a cut to the head after an aggravated robbery in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga yesterday evening.

The store on Arthur Street was targeted at 5.55pm yesterday and it's believed those behind the attack used an iron bar.

A customer standing at the counter was also assaulted.

Senior sergeant Marcia Murray said the offenders wore masks and are thought to be male.

Police are seeking the stolen black Honda Civic car that was used in the aggravated robbery, with the registration CYD857.

"The vehicle was stolen earlier in an aggravated robbery where a man was attacked and had his car keys taken from him," Sergeant Murray said in a statement this afternoon.

"If anyone sees the vehicle in which the three offenders fled, please contact the Crime Squad on 09 302 6557.

"A full scene examination has been carried out at the dairy, and investigators are determined to find the perpetrators."
